Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
Life is difficult. You may be seeking out a therapist for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you are feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed with relational challenges or emotional difficulties. I offer my supportive and compassionate presence, a safe environment, and professional training to help you restore balance and find fulfillment in life. Together we will explore the areas that are troubling you, uncover and understand the core issues, and develop more effective ways to cope. Ultimately we will work together to help you connect in a deeper and more authentic way with yourself, others, and the world.
We have an incredible group of therapists who are encouraged to be unique and creative while offering customized care. I personally specialize in working with teens and adults struggling with a wide array of mental health related issues.
We are a team of highly skilled providers, including doctoral-level clinicians, with extensive experience in supporting patients with a range of behavioral health needs. We take pride in our commitment to clinical excellence and our patient-centered, collaborative approach to providing care.
I support teen girls, young women, and mothers who are carrying heavy feelings about self-esteem, body image and eating struggles. I also specialize in working with women on their prenatal journey; navigating the big transitions of pregnancy and postpartum. So often, these seasons of life bring up emotions we’re told we shouldn’t have—confusion, doubt, even resentment—right alongside love and joy. My role is to create a space where nothing has to be hidden, and where your whole experience is welcome. So often, these seasons of life bring up emotions we’re told we shouldn’t have—confusion, doubt, even resentment—right alongside love and joy. My role is to create a space where nothing has to be hidden, and where your whole experience is welcome. I take a warm, collaborative approach that goes beyond talk therapy. Together, we’ll move at your pace, weaving in conversation and body-based practices like mindfulness, somatic therapy, Gestalt, breathwork, and nature-based work—while also drawing from CBT, DBT and ACT when structure or skills are needed. My hope is that you leave sessions with a stronger sense of steadiness and self-trust, and a gentler perspective on your life and journey—able to meet yourself with more ease, acceptance, and confidence in where you are and where you’re headed.
I am a queer therapist specializing in trauma, sexuality, relationships, and gender with LGBTQIA2S+ communities, kink and CNM communities. My approach uses mindfulness, somatics, attachment-based and nature-based modalities to support you in cultivating greater awareness, clarity, and access to innate inner agency, to more sustainably engage with all that is important to you. My approach is affirming of neurodiversity, racial and cultural identities, and rooted in contemplative, liberation, & decolonial psychologies. I find survival strength, resilience, and creativity at work even in the most challenging of circumstances. The whole of your being is welcome here.
I offer in-person and virtual sessions for students looking for counseling services. I use a humanistic approach where I believe people can heal and become happy and healthy versions of themselves.

Is the pain of your past making it difficult to live in the present? Have you lost a sense of safety in your life? Do you struggle with getting hijacked by feelings of shame, anxiety, anger, or sadness? Are your relationships suffering and you wonder how you will ever learn to trust again? Are you a parent and feel "stuck" in how to connect with your child and set kind and firm limits that will nurture healthy development? Are you paralyzed by fears of being abandoned or repeating the patterns of harm in current relationships that you experienced as a child? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then you are not alone. You want to feel empowered to know that while you cannot change the past, you can change your relationship with the past. Hi, I’m Kate. While I have experience working with a wide variety of individuals, I have two main areas of expertise. First, I am passionate about working with individuals who have been through traumatic experiences and challenging childhoods. My second interest is working with young adults. I help young adults embrace change, explore relationships, navigate transitions, and facilitate self discovery.
Are you struggling with isolation or disconnection? Maybe you're frequently feeling sad, overwhelmed, or consumed with thoughts of past negative experiences. I'd love to support you. I am a licensed professional counselor working with adults age 18+ in individual therapy. My main professional area of interest and competence is helping individuals who have undergone various types of relationship trauma, such as sexual abuse or assault. At the core, my therapeutic style is client-centered and strengths-based. I strive to empower my clients to recognize their resilience and connect with their own wisdom. I have also completed EMDR training for those who would like to try this evidenced-based trauma treatment. I welcome people of all identities, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, size, socioeconomic status, religion, race, and ethnicity. My hope is that all my clients feel affirmed and appreciated for exactly who they are. I look forward to hearing from you!
My clients are often motivated, high-achievers who struggle with anxiety or feeling like they are 'not enough' and may go to perfectionism, substances, or a combination to cope. Using mindfulness breathing techniques and talk therapy focused on clarifying your values, I'm here to provide relief!
